Are there any special tools required to remove the spark plug boots on a 2001 camaro with the 3.8V6?

I have noticed that the spark plug boots have a metal heat shield. Do I need a special plier to remove these boots?
Snap-On sells a spark plug wire remover tool. It's like a long pair of pliers with a plastic coated rounded end that goes over the boot so that you can squeeze and twist the boot at the same time

When it comes to your vehicle running correctly there are several things involved.В First your engine must be running on all cylinders.В If you are not running on all cylinders your engine is considered to be missing.
How to determine if your engine is missing is a lot by sound or feel.В To tell if an engine is missing by sound or feel is by simply hearing for an engine miss while driving and it will sound like your engine is sputtering.В Or you may feel a shake or your car hesitate; this is associated with an engine miss.В Another test that works well for idle is to take a piece of paper and hold it behind the exhaust.В The piece of paper should not flap back and forth, if it does then you have an engine miss.
